Relocation to the UK from abroad

If you are moving to a new home in the UK from another country, there are a few things you might want to consider:

  1. Before buying your new home it is advisable that you don’t agree any terms of moving until you have got approval of your entry to the UK and your visa is fully agreed.
  2. Ensure that you inform the developer that you have bought from that you are not a UK citizen as there may be additional paperwork that you need to complete.
  3. Once your move is confirmed and your date is decided, ensure that you have all the necessary documentation such as visas, insurance and shipping details, bank details, customs documentation.
  4. You might want to consider using an International real estate moving company, who will be able to advise you on what you need to ensure that your move goes as smoothly as possible. The UK may have different laws and customs to the country that you are moving from. If you don’t use an international removal company you should at least contact the British Embassy to ensure that you have all areas covered.
