This week’s New Home Buyers of the Week are Giorgio and Pauline Gerosa who decided it had to be new when looking for a home they could retire to in Faversham.
Giorgio and Pauline searched far and wide, initially moving from their London home to an apartment in Folkestone before relocating to Faversham.
Ease of maintenance and easy access to Europe were among the factors high on their wish list, along with lots of space as the semi-retired couple both work from home bringing students to England to study.
The couple are so happy with their new home that they would award Redrow, their housebuilder, a gold medal for customer service.
“We have bought and sold quite a few homes in our time, including refurbishing several properties, and decided we didn’t want to go through that again for our last move to our ever after home,” Pauline explains.
After visiting estate agents and looking online, Giorgio and Pauline visited Redrow’s Davington Park development in Faversham, where they went on to buy a four-bedroom property.
Pauline says: “Looking to the future, we were attracted by the eco-friendly construction of the home which should help reduce our carbon footprint as well as keeping our fuel bills manageable.”
“We love the house. We’re extremely happy with the specification and the quality of the fixtures and fittings,” Pauline says.
Finally, she adds: “Redrow were very supportive, especially Marianne Stone, Rachel Stageman and Marc Smith who were fantastic and helped us feel very welcome in our new home. I would give Marianne Stone a gold medal for customer service.”
